9 x Time was recorded in one take on June 6, 2021 in the middle of the COVID 19 pandemic in Toronto, Canada. Due to the restrictions for gatherings, the performance took place online using the Audio Movers software. The approach taken was to use Audio Movers to hear each other while we each recorded our own performance locally using Ableton Live. David merged the two projects, edited, mixed and sent them back to Paul for final mixing and mastering. The resulting piece of music is 38 minutes long, so we edited it into 3 sections you see here.
